This LED spotlight is a direct replacement lamp for 240v 50w Halogen lamps, no alterations are required. The ceramic construction dissipates heat and acts as an excellent insulator. The LED's are a Nichia 119 series with an expected lifespan of 40,000 hrs. We have tested this lamp extensively and have found it to be an excellent product that lives up to its specification.

These kits replace 12v halogen downlights by removing the 12v transformer and directly connecting the 240v to the lamp. (Electrician required) The end result is a 50w equivalent flourescent light (or better) that uses 36% of the energy of an equivalent 50w halogen. 8000 hour life expectancy (last up to 8 times longer than a standard light bulb), soft start, flicker free, protected from electrical surge. Finally a dimmable flouro!!! These lightbulbs will last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs and save up to 80% of energy use when compared to incandescent bulbs. Bulbs are individually boxed and available in both Bayonet Cap and Edison Screw base. An 8w flourescent is equivalent to 40w incandescent. This lamp is suitable for use with standard dimmer switches.
