These kits replace 12v halogen downlights by removing the 12v transformer and directly connecting the 240v to the lamp. (Electrician required) The end result is a 50w equivalent flourescent light (or better) that uses 36% of the energy of an equivalent 50w halogen. 8000 hour life expectancy (last up to 8 times longer than a standard light bulb), soft start, flicker free, protected from electrical surge. Not suitable for dimming, electronic switches, outdoor/wet locations or frequent turning on and off. Lamp included in kit. Installation instructions included. Lamps take a few minutes to reach full light output.
These lightbulbs will last up to 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs and save up to 80% of energy use when compared to incandescent bulbs. Bulbs are supplied in pairs. A 5w flourescent is equivalent to 25w incandescent. Ideal for bedside lights or nightlights. Not suitable for use with dimmer switches.
